Pickleball Court Dimensions Chart: Lines, Kitchen, Net
A pickleball court is 20 x 44 ft with a 7 ft non-volley zone (kitchen) on each side of the net. The net is 36 in high at the sidelines and 34 in at the center. Recommended total playing area is 30 x 60 ft, with 34 x 64 ft preferred.
The same court is used for singles and doubles. Lines are 2 inches wide and belong to the area they bound, except that a ball landing on the kitchen line on a serve is a fault.

Is a pickleball court the same size for singles and doubles?
Yes. Unlike tennis, pickleball uses the same 20 by 44 foot court for singles and doubles, with the same 7 foot kitchen on each side of the net. Singles simply leaves more open court for each player to cover.
How big is the kitchen in pickleball?
The non-volley zone, called the kitchen, extends 7 feet from the net on each side and spans the full 20 foot width of the court, so each kitchen is 20 by 7 feet. Players may not volley while standing in it or touching its line.
